1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how GlowyMint handles information when you use HomePulse. HomePulse helps you manage home maintenance tasks, appliance records, reminders, home documents, Smart Fridge inventory features, and cautious AI guidance for home issues.

2. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use the app, HomePulse may process information you enter into the app, including:

  • Name and email address for account setup or sign-in.
  • Home profile details such as home name, city, country, home type, climate, rooms, appliances, and maintenance needs.
  • Maintenance tasks, recurrence schedules, notes, tools, instructions, completion history, and reminder preferences.
  • Appliance vault information such as brand, model, serial number, purchase date, warranty date, receipts, manuals, invoices, and repair history.
  • Issue reports, AI chat prompts, suggested actions, photos you choose to attach, and Smart Fridge item or barcode information.

3. Local Storage and Demo Mode

HomePulse stores app state on your device using local storage so the app can remember your profile, tasks, vault items, and demo data. If backend keys are not configured, the app can continue in mock mode. In mock mode, your app data is intended to stay on your device unless you separately share it.

4. Account and Backend Services

When a production backend is configured, HomePulse may use Supabase or similar backend services for authentication, database storage, and private file storage. These services may process account details, home records, documents, and authentication session data so the app can sync and protect your information.

5. Camera, Photos, and Barcode Scanning

HomePulse may request camera permission so you can scan grocery barcodes for Smart Fridge features or attach photos to home issue reports, appliance records, and maintenance documentation. The camera is used only after you grant permission and interact with those features. Photos or barcode data are processed for the feature you choose to use.

6. Notifications

HomePulse may ask for notification permission so it can send maintenance reminders. Notifications may include task titles, estimated task time, and reminder information. You can disable notifications through your device settings.

7. AI Features

HomePulse includes AI-assisted maintenance guidance. In the current MVP, AI can run in mock mode. If a production AI provider or backend function is enabled, the text you submit, related home issue details, and optional photo references may be sent to that service to generate a response. Do not submit sensitive information that is not needed for the home maintenance question.

AI guidance is informational only. HomePulse is not a licensed electrician, plumber, engineer, safety professional, doctor, or lawyer. For gas smells, sparks, burning electrical smells, major leaks, structural risks, or emergencies, leave the area when appropriate and contact emergency services or a licensed professional.

8. Payments and Subscriptions

HomePulse may include subscription or paywall screens. If subscriptions are enabled, purchases may be processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Stripe, or another payment provider. GlowyMint does not receive your full payment card number from app store purchases.

9. Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

HomePulse is not configured with advertising or third-party tracking. We do not sell your personal information. If analytics are added in the future, this policy will be updated to explain what is collected and why.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell or trade your personal information. We may share data only with service providers needed to operate HomePulse, comply with law, protect users or the app, or complete an action you request.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect HomePulse data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we recommend keeping your device protected and avoiding unnecessary sensitive details in task notes, photos, and AI prompts.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Local app data can be deleted by clearing the app data or uninstalling HomePulse. If a production account/backend is enabled, you may contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of account data associated with your email address.

13. Children's Privacy

HomePulse is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
